As part of the British Seafood group, the strength and depth of the raw material available, and with buyers operating not only from our head office in Grimsby but around the world we are able to ensure that we are constantly monitoring the world’s supply and buying at the optimum time to keep our customers in stock all year round.

We never forget that fish, as a raw material, does not appear off a factory line, it is one of the last hunted species, and is subject to all the vagaries that that entails. This is a well documented subject and we, at Five Star, are committed to ensuring that we protect and manage our wild stocks for future generations.

We are committed to ensuring that we respect the world’s fisheries and develop and promote sustainable fishing practices. We understand that in to-day’s society we must ensure full traceability and must support all ethical initiatives in order to respect the environment. It is our responsibility, as a manufacturer, to lead the way in protecting, but at the same time developing best practices within the fish and seafood industry.
